Live Sound: Blog 34/4/2017 We have finally ended the lectures for Live Sound and we are headed to doing our live show of Hey Mammoth and Hanna Glass (opening act) We all managed to rock up early and prep the stage (we managed to leave the wedges in place and mark the stage the class before). Although we are audio students we managed to get extra help on lowering the whole lighting truss down and setting up the ambience lights as well as the spot lights. I was in-charge of the stage setup and making sure the signal was coming through each and every wedge, fill and speaker. The whole experience was very new to me and we as a team didn't really have any problems (apart from when Hannah's guitarist decided to sit down, and we had to change the placement of the microphone). I feel as though what happens behind the scenes counts in on 99% of the success, and we did very well in preparing for the live show. We got protools running and got each of the singers voices eq'd as well as the guitar. We got their voices going through reverbs and added and got rid of some frequencies. All-in-all I feel as though we did pretty well on our time working together on this.
